Education goes beyond textbooks at St. Augustine’s Day School Barrackpore. To nurture a culture of compassion, the school recently observed Zero Bullying Week for students from LKG to Class 5. The initiative focused on the heartwarming theme, “Be a Good Buddy.”
Engaging Activities for Young Hearts
Instead of introducing the heavy concept of bullying, the school focused on positive reinforcement. Students participated in:
- ✔ Kindness Word Circle: Promoting verbal appreciation.
- ✔ Secret Kindness Wall: Encouraging anonymous acts of care.
- ✔ Words that Hurt & Help: Understanding the power of speech.
- ✔ Empathy Role Plays: Practicing sympathy in real-world scenarios.
Special Assembly: Teachers Lead by Example
A major highlight of the week was a special assembly where Pre-Primary teachers performed a creative role play. By demonstrating how to "Be a Good Buddy," teachers helped the little ones develop awareness about kindness in a fun and relatable way.
