At St. Augustine’s Day School, Barrackpore, we believe that education goes hand-in-hand with well-being. In a significant move toward strengthening preventive healthcare, our school successfully conducted a Cervical Cancer Vaccination Drive in collaboration with the prestigious CK Birla Hospitals, CMRI.

This initiative stands as a testament to our institution’s steadfast commitment to safeguarding the health of our students and building a disease-free future.

Early prevention is the most effective shield against health challenges. During this drive, a total of 378 students, aged between 9 and 14 years, received the vaccination free of cost.

By targeting this specific age group, the programme focused on encouraging early protection, which medical experts agree is the most effective window for the HPV (Human Papillomavirus) vaccine.

The event was conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Nandana Roy. Her presence, alongside a dedicated medical team from CMRI.

Beyond the clinical administration of the vaccine, the drive served as an essential awareness programme. At St. Augustine’s Day School, Barrackpore, we aim to empower our “Augustinians” with the knowledge to make responsible health choices.

“Health awareness, responsible action, and strong community collaboration are essential to building a healthier future for our children.”

This initiative reflects our core belief that a school’s role extends beyond the classroom. By facilitating access to life-saving healthcare, we are providing our students with protection that lasts a lifetime.

We extend our deepest gratitude to CK Birla Hospitals, CMRI, and the team of medical professionals who worked tirelessly to make this drive a meaningful success. It is through such powerful community collaborations that we can ensure our students grow up healthy, informed, and resilient.

St. Augustine’s Day School, Barrackpore remains dedicated to the holistic development of every child—mind, body, and spirit.
