St. Augustine’s Day School, Barrackpore, recently transformed into a hub of joy, gratitude, and celebration as we observed International Women’s Day on March 7th, 2026. This year, the theme “Give to Gain” resonated through the halls of our institution, honoring the remarkable women who form the very heart and strength of our community.
In a beautiful gesture of respect and appreciation, the male staff members of St. Augustine’s Day School took the lead in organizing a spectacular event for their female colleagues. The celebration was a vibrant showcase of talent and camaraderie, designed to thank the women who lead, nurture, and uplift our school every day.
The program kicked off with a melodious song dedicated to the spirit of womanhood, followed by an interactive and witty quiz session. The highlights of the afternoon included a humorous audio drama and a high-energy Bollywood lyrical dance performance by the male faculty, which brought the house down with cheers and applause.
The event was graced by the presence of our Respected President Ma’am and CEO Sir. Their participation added a layer of prestige and warmth to the festivities.
Addressing the gathering, CEO Sir, President Ma’am, and our Principal Ma’am delivered powerful speeches centered on the theme “Give to Gain.” They highlighted how the selfless contributions, resilience, and passion of women educators and administrators are the pillars upon which future generations are built. The message was clear: When women rise, generations thrive.
Beyond the stage performances, the spirit of togetherness was celebrated with a ceremonial cake-cutting and the distribution of special gifts to all female staff members. The day concluded on a high note with an energetic DJ session that saw everyone hitting the dance floor, followed by a grand festive lunch.
