From 23rd to 27th March 2026, St. Augustine’s Day School – Barrackpore proudly observed Anti-Bullying Week with the inspiring message: “Be a Buddy, Not a Bully!” The week was marked by impactful, student-led activities that promoted empathy, kindness, and responsible behaviour. On 23rd March, Classes X & XII conducted a class assembly on Cyberbullying and Responsible Digital Behaviour, while on 24th March, Class VI presented a special assembly on Tolerance through speeches, posters, skits, and poems. On 25th March, Class IX organised an Awareness Walk to spread the message against bullying, and on 26th March, Class VII conducted a special assembly on Kindness and Empathy in School, which also coincided with Chipko Movement Day, observed with charts, posters, and awareness speeches. 🌱 Finally, on 27th March, Class VIII held a special assembly on the Effects of Bullying on Mental Health, highlighting the importance of emotional well-being.

The week also featured inspiring addresses: Principal Ma’am, Mrs. Shweta Ray, urged students to always be empathetic and to report bullying without fear, while School Counsellor, Ms. Tanima Chatterjee, spoke about the serious effects of bullying on mental health, encouraging students to support one another and seek help when needed. Students actively participated by taking pledges, engaging in class discussions, and promoting a safe and inclusive environment. A Poster Making Competition for Classes IX & X added creative energy to the week, with winners being: 1st – Jyotisman Ghosh (9D), Tushnik Dutta (10F); 2nd – Aharshi Bhakta (9B); 3rd – Pramiti Ukil (10E).
Through these meaningful activities, St. Augustine’s Day School – Barrackpore continues to build a culture of empathy, respect, and responsibility, ensuring that Anti-Bullying Week becomes a movement towards kindness, inclusivity, and positive change.
